In Contact with Water & Air (Workshop 2)

Workshop Date:

  • October 18th. 10.30am - 3.30pm

Workshop Outline:

This Eco-art workshop focuses on the climate crisis in relation to water and air pollution.

Activities:

  • Walk around the grounds of Krowji Studios interacting with the nearby water sources. The walk includes grounding mediation and deep listening exercises.

  • Printing using beautiful home-made inks again, using methods that use and respond to water: wax resist and water-based ink mark-making.

  • Discussion as a group around water and air pollution using a range of regional, national and global resources about these issues. Thinking about ways to engage in positive change.

The Sun Room at Mount Pleasant Eco Park

Accessibility:

There is parking available on site. The room is ground floor with large doors. Sessions will involve a small amount of ambling around the site. Please contact me directly with any accessibility needs.

Refreshments:

  • Break-times will be built in to the schedule, including a lunch break.

  • Lunch is NOTprovided. Please bring your own lunch or there is a canteen on site. https://www.mpecopark.co.uk/canteen/

  • Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. A vegan/vegetarian snack will be available at break times.

Materials:

  • All materials are provided (though you are welcome to bring your own foraged materials).

  • Please bring a clean jar to take home any inks you wish to take home.
