A collaboration between

Linda Karshan & Elizabeth Tomos.

Linda and I met in 2015 at her studio in Dulwich (London, UK), where I interviewed her for the first time about her practice. The interview, and related essay, appeared in the book “Studio View: A book in three parts”, published in 2017. We found kindred spirits in one another and have met regularly ever since. In 2022, for the first time, we began collaborating on a body of work together.

We have undertaken two bodies of work to date. One at her home in Connecticut and one in the kitchen of her London flat. The kitchen has been a core place where we have exchanged knowledge over several years and the tiles of the kitchen are akin to etching plates so it seems a fitting site for Perform Print works. In Connecticut we performed on the docks at the bottom of the garden, creating a three-way collaboration between our own bodies and the shifting dock as it bobbed and swayed in the wind.

These works will be fully launched in the future but by way of a teaser I include a solo work I undertook as an homage to Linda.
